I'm sure people have a lot to say about this chapter, like what they think should be the best way for Chika to die. 
But seriously, the girl needs to be a bit more happy. She used to sulk because her sister wasn't 'normal' but now that she is, she continues to sulk? What is wrong with her? Well, I guess resentment in that situation is normal but that still doesn't prevent the audience from wanting to bitch-slap her all the way to the moon.
Another thing, by the second half of this chapter Keito is 19. I don't remember how old she was when the manga started...16? So about 2.5 years have passed since then...most of it after Keito filmed Present?

| I don't get that child, and I doubt I ever will. I now think she's a whiny, annoying brat, as opposed to just a whiny brat before. I don't know why, but screwing with your sister's life once she finally gets it going again just screams "God complex" to me. |

I'm still trying to understand why someone hasn't just choked Chika and put her out of her misery.
My theory is this. While Chika has gotten bullied, that doesn't diminish the fact that she's essentially a bitter and mean person. She belittles everyone and her automatic starting point is hostile and rude. I mean her entire opening conversation with Kouichi I wanted to smack her upside her head, never mind just how absolutely spiteful she is, for no reason.
She's even mean to Keito when she first comes home with a cold. I'm guessing for Chika, being bitchy and hostile is her first reaction to every situation. If someone else is in misery great, but hey don't give them any additional attention or anything like that.
She's a ridiculously negative girl. I even talked about it with my husband, that I felt that the mangaka, while doing a great job of making most of the characters a decent blend of good and bad traits (Momiji, Rei, the entire cast) it's like she went out of her way to make this really unlikeable kid sister so that we'd want to choke her until the black spots started to appear.
So much choking. |
