I have both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Yes, I'm a freak - I have both. I started playing Guitar Hero and bought Rock Band because I wanted to play the drums.

actually it's "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band"

I'm a Wii gamer and Rock Band for Wii kinda sucks. I'm inching towards GH. I hear GHIV will be completely the same as the other versions. Plus GH:Aerosmith. I'm down for that.

Ha Ha Ha ... kay, point noted. I was just staring at the guitars and wanted to post this poll.

I played GH on Wii and RB on PS3. I prefer GH because of the songs and the guitar (the strumming seems to be better and more accurate). But PS3 has wonderful graphics, you can see strands of hair unlike Wii, which you'll get mop of hair.

especially for a game like GH/RB I'm not too concerned with how it looks. Most of the time you're too focused on the colored lights to even notice what's going on. I remember the first time I got my ex-girlfriend to play Mario DDR. It was a whole new experience watching what was going on in the background. Mario was getting funky. I should take a picture of my set-up one day it's nothing that graphics will look amazing on anyway.

Rockband looks like fun but once it's GHIV/RB2 time they're gonna be pretty much the same. For me it's going to be a)Which one plays better on the Wii and then b) which has a better songlist.

I enjoy Rock Band over Guitar hero. It's more fun to play with a group, and I'm a much better drummer, and an okay singer, compared to my plastic guitar playing skills. XD

I don't have either, but I enjoy the idea of Rock Band more, if only because it seems more complete.

Too expensive a set up for me though

Is everyone else here aware that with GHIV and Rockband 2 will both be full bands. (2 guitars, drums, mic)

i like GH, though i've only watched other people play it at the GameStop. >___<;;

i'd probably mess up alot, though, if i tried. xD;

i noticed what's annoying to me when people play GH...the guitar doesn't have any speakers on it and the clicking of buttons irks me. it doesn't look like it feels like a 'real' experience of playing a guitar. it looks like a glorified DDR game, just with a guitar-shaped controller. :/

I have played both and I like them both, but I like rockband better. However, Im still getting ready to get Guitar Hero for my Nintendo DS! lol! The should make rockband for it too!

I like GH better but Rock Band is fun
because I like the drums. XD GH is soo fun. X_X

I don't have either, but they're both fun. Great party games.

I feel so light headed after playing for 2 hours of Rockband. I play the drums and I find one of the toughest song is Enter Sandman by Metallica. Great song but my arms ache~

I played Rock Band fairly recently with some friends, and I have to admit, I think I prefer Guitar Hero now. The reason is pretty simple. While the drums are cool, I wouldn't want to play them. I hate the foot pedal too. Just a couple songs on that one, and I was done. Guitar is much better.

Just my opinion of course. Both games are fun, even still.

With the latest patch, you can now use the guitar meant for Guitar Hero in Rockband as well. So now I have 2 guitars.

Yes, I agree the foot pedal is a killer. The muscles for my right leg is aching now. It really feels like a work-out.

We have Guitar Hero World Tour, and I play Rockband with my friend's PS3. I find the grading system for Rockband a lot easier than the GHWT, although I like the songs in GHWT more.
