As moderators, we've reached the decision that this section has, often due to our own actions, not exactly been used properly. Posts in here should be focused on welcoming new members and talking to them, making sure they're comfortable here, etc. Instead, they've often fallen into discussions between members which have nothing to do with the actual new person. As a result, we've decided to make a new policy for this section: any off-topic posts will be edited and/or deleted. We hope this doesn't inconvenience you too much. It'll make this area a nicer place for new members and ensure that it actually lives up to its purpose. This decision will only be enacted from now on, so if you've made off-topic posts in here before, don't worry about it. Just don't do it anymore.
