Congratulations, Perch!*Bridal Chorus plays in the background*
For those of you who don't know, Perch is the amazing founder of our little group. I know that all of us who work on AWM's projects or here in the forums couldn't love her more, since we've found a great place to work. She does almost all of the typesetting, too, because she's some sort of superhuman.
So of course we were all very happy for her when we learned that she'd found the perfect older non-Asian male with no sparkle powers for her. Jamboree did many awesome things in his life, I'm sure, but I'd really like to thank him because he introduced her to crack manga and anime - they're just as potent, so I sometimes get the two terms confused. Thanks, Mr. Perch!
Anyway, this had happened long before I got to know the happy couple, but, having bonded over very, very, very, very, very, and also very large amounts of time spent playing video games and watching shounen anime series, Mr. Perch realized he'd never find a more perfect "bizarre facepaint duo" woman, and proposed.
Now they're about to get married, and we sincerely wish them all the best. So Fye and I thought that we should all be given the opportunity to congrutalate the happy couple, especially Perch, since we know and love her to bits. We wish Jamboree the best too, but we don't know him as well, so we decided to dedicate this thread to her. Plus we didn't want to - oh wait, that'd give away my next paragraph.
Now that it's the next paragraph, I can continue on.  We can't amuse ourselves by giving Mr. Perch lingerie, because he's a "Mr." But we can embarass both ourselves and Perch by giving it to her!
Hence the secondary purpose of this thread: to give presents to our fearless leader before she embarks on her frightening journey!
Since we're really not stalkers, I swear we're not, we haven't figured out her address yet don't know where she lives, we can't give her real presents. But we can give her pictures of presents, which are almost as good! Well, except for the fact that they're not real and all. But that's not the point!
So, everyone can use this thread to give their presents to Perch! Embarassing ones, practical ones, crazy ones that she'd probably sell at a pawn shop if someone gave them to her in real life... all kinds of presents!
That being said, I'm going first. Perch, as I'm sure you know by now, I sometimes behave in an... eccentric... manner. And since these aren't real gifts, I've suddenly become really wealthy.
Since that's the case, I've decided to act like the eccentric but wealthy old aunt who drives you nuts but you love anyway... mainly because you want to be in her will, not that you'd ever admit it... and give you a set of china. I expect you to appreciate it, young lady, because I saw my dead husband in a dream and he instructed me on which pattern to get you.
It's a full set of Royal Doulton's "Abacus" pattern, enough to serve ten people with. I expect you to have me over for dinner quite often now, and to leave a spot for dear old Uncle Samuel, as his spirit might visit us, even though only I can see it... I'm giving you plates, bowls, two serving platters, teacups and saucers, a creamer and sugar bowl, a gravy boat and plate, and a teapot. The works. Uncle Samuel will be very sad if you break any of it, so do be careful!
Also, Fye and I wanted to give you something special from both of us, so we agreed on giving you some nice tea to sip once you get back and settle in to married life. We put in lots of different kinds: peach, apple, lemon and green tea from Fye, and Earl Grey, Chamomile, Irish Breakfast, and Chai from yours truly. You can use your new china to drink from it... that's what Uncle Samuel wants you to do.
Seriously, though, I'm really happy for you, and wish you all the best. I hope you have a great wedding and an even better honeymoon, and that you two are very happy together. I'm going to stop before I bring tears to my own eyes from the corniness of what I'm saying, but I really do mean it.
Sorry for the excessively long post, everyone, but I'm just so emotional at times like these! Plus I'm expressing Uncle Samuel's wishes too, and you all know how he likes to go on and on... anyway, let the gift-giving begin!

I'll give you a really pretty babydoll (it's Victoria's Secret, yey!) that only you Perch should be able to wear, but I'm sure Jamboree will also enjoy it *blinks eye

Wow, that's incredibly sweet you guys! Thank you very much for the well wishes.
I'm really glad that Perch has gathered such awesome people to her. I'm happy other people get to know how totally awesome Perch is ^_^
Hmm... what should I give to Mrs. Mr. Perch to celebrate her day?
I think I'm already giving her a ride...
She may have to settle for my undying love and devotion. My promise to stay by her side forevermore.
If that doesn't work, I'll get her a salamander. Or a pony. Or a pony-mander.

Yes, congratulations! I have been extremely amazed at your dedication and hard work for AWM even just before your wedding, it has been inspiring to watch and work with you. Shoot, my husband works in the group!!! Hahah thank you everyone for your warm wishes either new members or people that have been around for months. I really appreciate it. I'm looking forward to my trip on Monday and am really nervous/excited. We're not going to have internet access either so I won't be able to see anything online for about a week-and-a-half. *hugs group*
