I guess it's time for me to introduce myself. I'm much older than the crowd here..I'm turning 30 in July.

I love playing computer games and do this on various consoles - PC, Playstation, Nintendo Wii / DS and Xbox. Yes...I own them all (shared with my hubby) Hiak Hiak!!

I'm into drama series from Seinfeld, Gilmore Girls to j-dorama / k-dorama (eh.. a bit slow, with exception of Coffee Prince).

I'm also into cars. Not the mechanics but I just like watching Top Gear and driving fast cars.

I like watching Jap anime a lot as well. I branched out to manga when I was eager to find out the continuation since most animes end mid-way. I feel bad leeching all the time and started offering to help in translation (when I saw numerous posting requests for help).

I'm very much into Jap food and culture and travel to Japan almost on yearly basis. I like the vibrancy of a city mixed with culture (you can see small parks / shrine at most corners or small lanes).

Wooah what a lengthy intro... So meantime, I am hoping to do as much as I can for the world of scanlation before Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 comes out. I'll probably retire and return only after I completed the games.

I also like watching series (Ialthough I'm not into J-dorama or K-dorama....). And I also love to play videogames! My fav from all times are the Final Fantasy series! (Go Squall!).

No, I'm just playing. I'm looking forward to the releases of Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and the new expansion for WoW myself. I don't expect to see my fiance for months after those come out, unless we play together.

Anyway, welcome, nanachan! I am extremely jealous over the fact that you a) know Japanese and b) travel there on a regular basis. I've just started learning it, but still know very little.

Coffee Prince, eh? Maybe I should try watching it... I'm just getting started on doramas, as a couple of my friends keep threatening to hurt me if I don't... so I've been watching Hana-Kimi lately. The Japanese one. Not that Taiwanese one. That one just hurts.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you around and whatnot!

Oui! Nanachan is so cool *thinking about helping Perch hide nanachan's new games.....* I've been wanting to meet the wonderful translator of the final chapters of Love Monster!

I really like Japan and all the other busy Asian cities a lot as well. But Japan was definitely one of the cleanest! Although I haven't been to Singapore yet and I hear they're very clean too.

Speaking of Tokyo reminds of me of the red bean paste filled pastries shaped like fish, I love those!!! I gotta find a good recipe for those....

You guys prefer Starcraft to AoE? I have almost all the final fantasy series! Although I haven't finished any of them since FFIII. I'm almost just collecting them since they're so cooll.

Any anime rec's nana? I'm looking for more stuff while I wait for Saiunkoku Monogatari.

@Fye: Cool! I just love the tunes from Final Fantasy such a victory fanfare and chocobos. I think it didn't change throughout the series.

@Perch: My hubby and I played Starcraft, Diablo I and II together ever since we're dating. I started playing WoW in year 2005. Played for 1.5 years but my hubby complained that I was too addicted. Oh yeah, forgot to mention I have 2 priests and 2 mages - 3 of them are horde. When it comes to priest, there were so many obligations~

And now he complains I'm too addicted to manga... you just can't please the man. I leech on FairyTail such that he can read them without nagging at me.

@lynzajw: I like Hana-Kimi the Jap one. I just can't stand the Taiwanese one. If you like comedy J-dorama, I have a few must-watch to recommend like My Boss My Hero, Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (I like the actor Abe), Papa to Musume no Nanokakan...many more.

@Fire: *Blush* My editor was nudging me to help translate Love Monster such that she could leech the series. And I have no regrets translating this wonderful series and I'm honored to be part of the team.

Yeah, I love Japanese red bean paste in fish pancake. The best I have eaten was in Sapporo, the skin is thin and crispy with lots of red bean fillings.

I played both Starcraft and AoE. I feel it's a different gameplay whereby Starcraft requires speed and precision (i.e. build enough to ensure growth). In a matter of minutes, it will determine the winner. Sheer number of armies will destroy you. Whereas AoE, takes a while to build into mature civilization and allows you to enjoy the process of upgrading & improving technology etc.

As for anime, I'll recommend Kekkaishi, Full Metal Alchemist (include OVA). Mostly shounen since I usually watch them with my hubby. The last shoujo anime I recall watching is Nana.
