I just started reading Kuroshitsuji. It also has the anime series coming this fall season (which is now) so I've been trying to keep up with the manga scanlations.
Unfortunately, there aren't many scanlations of it just yet and the ones I've seen of so far are only until Chapter 9 (Vol 2). So I was just wondering if anyone here also reads/watches Kuroshitsuji as well? I've seen the first episode of the anime and I quite liked the animation. Not to mention it has some of the seiyuus that I just adore XD
I started reading it this summer and I just love it! Have to download the anime though.
Ciel is just too cute for his own good. I love his clothing style! <3
Spoiler:
And it's so funny (and ubber cute too) when he dresses up (well, actually, he is forced XD) as a girl!
And his relationship with Sebastian sometimes is really funny! lol
Mierin, have you been able to get the rest of the ch? So far, there are 32 ch out (being 32 the last one published in Japan).
mierin
@Fye
Yeah, right now I'm up to date with the scanlations
I've also watched the anime till the end. But I think the manga would be different than the anime version, though.
Some people who love the manga don't like the anime, because its so different, especially towards the later half of the series. But I just watch for Ciel and Sebastian, so I don't really mind XD
sa-chan
This series totally rocks in my opinion~! Altho i was a bit disappointed at the ending of the anime coz well.....
Spoiler:
I tot maybe Sebastian wouldn't really take Ciel's soul since he seems to be quite fond of him...
The manga is moving in another direction from the anime so that's good i suppose? Since we can see more interaction between Ciel and Sebastian.
Fye
I assume that, since the manga is still running, and if there won't be a continuation, it was to be expected that the ending was awful (most of the invented endings are disastrous ^^').
Now I don't know if I want to watch it ^^'
mierin
How on earth do you write a spoiler code in this thing?? XD
Well, never mind.
Yeah, I agree with Sa-chan's little spoiler there. I honestly thought it wouldn't happen. The scene was pretty fanservice-y too XD
Fye
@Mierin
To use the spiler code, just type "spoiler" between [] to open it and "/spoiler" to close it.
Now I'll use it XD
Spoiler:
Don't tell me that in the last episode of the anime he took Ciel's soul!!! You've got to be kidding me, right?
And.... now that I remember, we should speak about the manga here XD
mierin
@ Fye
Oh, thanks! Wasn't sure if that was the code
I probably shouldn't spoil the anime here. But if you really wanna know... Read on only if you don't mind spoilers.
Spoiler:
Yeah, it seems like he did. Although, viewers weren't exactly shown how did Sebastian actually "eat" his soul.
Here's to hoping that the manga would have a better plot. I can't wait for the next chapter to come out ^^
Fye
@Mierin
Really? now I get why there was a fangirlish moment XD *giggles*
Luckily, this last plot (which seems to be near its end) is interesting. Plus, it seems that we're going to know what happened to Ciel's parents back then.
sa-chan
Ooh yes!
Spoiler:
It looks like he was about to kiss him! *faints* Plus he was speaking so gently to Ciel when he was going to take his soul.
Hmm if the manga ended up having the same ending as the anime, I'd be really disappointed especially since we get to see more action and stuff going on between them.
Fye
So far, I can't imagine how the manga is going to end, so anything the author might do will surprise me for sure...
mierin
Well it seems there is going to be some revelation of what really happened to Ciel when he was abducted, if you're kept up with the scanlations anyway ^^'
Spoiler:
Anyone else loved the chibi Ciel at the last page of chapter 31? He was so clingy to his father, its just so very very cute :3

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was the cutest thing ever! <3
And to think that he seemed so shy and naive! With the drastic change operated in him we can really see how much the murder of his parents affected him...
shima
i love this series!! sebastian is sooo coollllll, ciel is sooo cuuuutteee, and all the servants are soooo unique (in their own ways) hohoho..
cant wait to read more chapters.. XD
Fye
Holy asjkfhdfgnñ!!!!!
Have you read the latest chapter?! (32)
Spoiler:
That freaking old man was soooooooooooooooooooo crazy! I never thought that the story was going to turn this dark! Ever since we saw what happened to the kidnapped children I remained very shocked, so I never thought that things would turn out like this...
And Ciel shooting the old man, that was unexpected....
mierin
Chapter 32 was so full of surprises, plot-wise and in other aspects as well. There are so many things happening in this chapter, and some revelations were made too.
Sebastian was pretty scary in this one. Ciel surprised me too. But he probably couldn't hold it in anymore.
Spoiler:
Joker lost another arm! I feel sorry for him >.<
I don't know why that old man is so besotted with the Phantomhives. But that level of obsession is crazy! Even if he had nothing to do with the Phantomhive murders, he was in league with the people who tried to make Ciel a sacrifice. But I didn't expect Ciel to actually shoot him, though.
I am so intrigued by Finny! I know he's abnormally strong, but that last panel is a scary-looking Finny O__O
Fye
I know! When I saw Finny I was like, WTF?! O.o
Now I wonder if the others are like him too...
Don't know if Sebastian was scary, but I do agree that Ciel probably couldn't hold it any longer...
Spoiler:
The old man is like some kind of hardcore fan ^^'
I also feel sorry for Joker... actually, for all of them. They had such a harsh life...
