- If you have a suggestion in here that I haven't responded to yet, it still counts so don't worry. I'll look at it soon and get back to you!

Do you have a Shoujo or Shounen series that you want to suggest be worked on? Go ahead and post it here. I promise that I will read each comment and look at the series in question and put it on my to-do list, but I can't promise time lines or even if/when I could get to any particular project. I'm dependent on translators and cleaners kindness and free time for what I do.

Rules:

1. A Series has to have had its last release in January, 2008 (01/2008) or older. I'm trying to stay away from newer releases at this time to focus on some older series that have been neglected.

2. A suggestion does not have to be a series that was neglected or abandoned, it can be a series that was never worked on or had chapters released for it.

3. No licensed series.

4. Shota/Loli is added to the list on a case-by-case basis.

I don't really know how forums work, and I don't know if I am posting in the right spot... but I would really love it if you guys would pick up Honey x Honey Drops. It has been forever since it was scanlated and it is such a great series! I would hate for it not to be done.

@dozen: I'm afraid that Honey x Honey Drops is scanlated by Condensation and their latest release is on 13-Apr-2008 so does not fit in Perch criteria - last release in Jan-08 or later. But thanks for your suggestion. Perhaps we can take it up later when it goes into hiatus.

@Perch: Yokubou to Koi no Meguri is an upcoming SMM project.

@ Nanachan - I'm pulling that one and its sequel off the list. Thanks for letting me know.

*smacks internet* I'm running slow. Mangaupdates keeps listing Love Berrish with a hyphen and saying no ones worked on it, but when I went to the Starry Heaven listing I see the April entry. I think it was a project from the last suggestion box when I was going two months or older (before people tried to sneak in projects that hadn't seen a release in two weeks).

Okay, removing Love Berrish too. I hope they fix the page since it looks like no ones touched that one.

@ Dozen - It is a bit new for our list. We're trying to be polite to other groups by not swooping in on their projects. I think five or six months without a release before landing in the suggestion box is reasonable.

@ Perch: Both Intercross and Starry Heaven are scanlating Love Berrish (latest release in Apr-08?) and they listed it as Active Project. Erm...I don't think this is a joint project.

The topic on MU is screwy, but yeah, that ones definitely live...and worked on by two different groups. I'm pulling it from the list then.

The only things left on the list that are from the previous box are Hana ni Nare and So Bad! They're both past my new date, but I figure I'll leave them in and call them grandfather'd from the first box. With all the other projects I don't think we could even get to them for months as it is.

Also, am I crazy or does it seem like a lot of groups are picking up really old projects? I removed close to ten last week from groups that put them on future/upcoming lists or started actively translating.

I don't consider it spam. I use onemanga a lot when I'm showing translators a project we're considering and want them to get a chance to read it quickly. I also use Mangafox for when onemanga doesn't have the manga in question.

Yes, less projects are good and knowing in advance is great so we don't start considering a series and then have to switch gears halfway through.

I don't really care who scanlates it, but it seems to be winning the poll in Arandria.

I've noticed that most of your picked up series are from Shoujo magic... I don't think they are active anymore so might as well pick and choose from there.

@ Blind Unicorn - The main story is finished as is the extra story in volume one. We're doing the two extra stories in volume two.

@ Dozen - Haha it's okay.

Kapo~n does look incredibly cute. Oh and thank you for the possibility of Rhapsody in Heaven being picked up. If it is please let me know so I can remove it from the list.

Otherwise today is a day of looking for raws in Chinese!

I hear it is a 3-way joint with Intercross, Divine Sanctuary, and some new group... can't remember the new groups name though... maybe Chuu Chuu Train?? Anyway, I talked to their staffies and they said that they are working out positions. I'll report back when I know more.

No, you don't have to check other groups. I prefer to either sight it in their active lists or usually someone from another group will email me or leave a comment on the LJ letting me know what's going on with a project and then I quietly remove it. I like to hear, "hey this group just announced they're working on X on their front page," but I don't actively follow groups around double checking our suggestion box.

Since the suggestion box isn't considered a "future project" list for us it's fair game for the net at large. I try hard not to call projects that we don't have someone to translate because I don't want to just sit on a project (I hate sitting on projects) for months tying it up.

In the same boat though when you guys are asleep (which is tough to co-ordinate, the staff is multi-national) I like to sit on the projects and glare at any groups that are even thinking about possibly, maybe even glancing at a project. I make clawing motions too. *nods* So I'm very much like, "No, you don't see this awesome project...just stare at this dangling watch now kthxbi".
